When I started out years ago, my notion for The Beery Traveler was just a fun place I could lay down some descriptions of some of the antics we’d get up to exploring travel destinations. It wasn’t serious and it wasn’t really meant to be. Then when we were doing a lot of site tours at various resorts here and there, I added more facts and figures regarding site specific information for would-be visitors.
Then there was a lull. COVID came and took it’s toll on travel for everyone, including us so The Beery Traveler fell silent.
Next came a momentous life change when Tina got sick – I mean really sick. After almost 2 years of struggling through doctor appointments that felt more like doctor DISappointments and developing lifestyle changes that hopefully would create positive, healthy impacts for both of us, The Beery Traveler stumbled to his feet and staggered through the necessary changes and evolution, with a promise to provide regular updates on life as we would now know it, while hopefully having the opportunity to travel a bit here and there from time to time.
And here we grow again. With the travel business back from the brink of COVID and my own agency getting busier than ever, it’s time for The Beery Traveler to change and adapt yet again.
If you are a faithful follower, you will have noticed a few new posts recently that although definitely about travel destinations, are not of the silly sort that you’re used to from The Beery Traveler. There is a reason for this, to grow the agency, Boarding Pass Travel, I have been forced to work diligently at expanding our reach and following on multiple social media networks. A very useful tool for doing so as it turns out, is a blog.
What this means to you, dear reader, is that although you will still find silly recounting of our personal travels, there will also be more professionally written pieces for the more serious reader seeking facts and figures prior to embarking on their own travel experience. You will also notice that all destination posts will now contain information on some of the best brews and where to find them should you find yourself in any of these destinations.
I hope that this does not discourage you from continuing to follow The Beery Traveler, and that perhaps you may take the opportunity to share my content with friends, family, and even strangers that might someday want, or need, to travel.
As always,
Cheers!
