The Beery Traveler
Just one half of a fun-loving, adventurous couple traveling our way to retirement…and beyond!
(From Ecuador Expats)
The ship that recreates Charles Darwin’s trip around the world arrived in the Galápagos with his great-great-granddaughter. The centenary Dutch sailing ship Oosterschelde sailed into the enchanted islands today. This archipelago is considered a natural laboratory, where the British scientist was inspired to develop his theory of natural selection and evolution of species in the 19th century. The Darwin200 initiative is carried out on board the historic vessel, a project that seeks to train 200 young conservation leaders from around the world and which in Galápagos will include the participation of Sarah C. Darwin, the great-great-granddaughter of Charles Darwin, as announced in a statement from the organizers of this expedition. Photo courtesy: EFE/Darwin200

Is that the same snake in both pictures?
Aw poor kitty
Gorgeous! Too bad about the cat though 😔
Can locals sell them? Some places it’s an industry to sell large snakes.
